It's Entertainment! Customer Reviews:
It's Entertainment After buying The Show DVD - I bought this DVD It's Entertainment
I truly enjoy the songs & music that these 5 guys share with their audience
Celtic Thunder: It's Entertainment You can't go wrong with anything from Celtic Thunder. The only reason I am giving this DVD four stars instead of five is because it is too short--only 16 songs. Previous DVDs of their shows had at least 10 more songs. The show is classy with high-class tuxedos and costumes. Staging is beautiful and functional as they act out their songs. Great choreography! George does an excellent job on "500 Miles" and has me hooked on this song. I didn't care for a few of the songs as they were too old, but I loved the majority of the show.
Celtic Thunder This is the 4th Celtic Thunder item (DVD'S& CDS) that I have ordered from Amazon. I like anything with the Celtic Thunder singers. I first saw them on TV & was enchanted with them.Celtic Thunder: Take Me Home I think they put on a good show & are all very talented. Have also seen them in person at one of our theaters & was not disappointed in the show. Would recommend any of their DVDS or CDS.
Good but to much of a U.S. sound We've enjoyed this DVD. The more mature sounding youngster was welcomed, his last DVD was in transistion. Other than wanting more of the Celtic music, the production was very good.
The lads are amazing!!! Can't rave enough about "It's Entertainment". At first, my husband and I sort of looked at each other and couldn't figure out why they had changed their format. Really took us by surprise when a gorgeous girl singer was featured, singing "Just Like Jesse James", plus handsome Paul in top hat and tails singing (and dancing!) "Doo-Wacka-Doo".
However, every time we watch it, we love it more and more. Adding all-around musician Neil Byrne to the vocal mix was sheer genius: his sweet face and beautiful voice made "Hallelujah" (along with Ryan and Keith) the most spell-binding and awesome musical experience I can ever remember.
Another fantastic thing was seeing George break out with his rousing "Life With You", as well as "500 Miles". Such a transformation for George: in the first DVD, he was serious, somber, stalwart George. In "Take Me Home" he was angry and fierce George. In "It's Entertainment", he's happy, joyous, and absolutely gorgeous George!
The ever-roguish Ryan scintillates in "Ev'ry Breath You Take", and rocks the house with "Bad, Bad Leroy Brown.
Keith demonstrates his steel-guitar expertise with his "Surfer Medley", and Paul delivers a heart-stirring "You Raise Me Up".
And sweet Damian, what can I say: the angelic sweet-faced little boy has grown into a handsome, dashing young man. His rendition of "Home" nearly had me in tears, much like when he was younger and sang "Bird Without Wings".
Also enjoyed the lovely O'Leary sisters on their violins in the instrumental "Lough Swilly Railway".
The next-to-last song was amazing: the lads rocking out to "Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For" - these beautiful young men, singing their hearts out, having a fantastic time, rejoicing in the total love from their live audience.
This has become our favorite Celtic Thunder DVD, in fact, we're watching it again this evening.
We've been to three of their concerts - San Diego, Vancouver, BC, and Portland, OR. We are planning to see them this fall in Eugene and in Sacramento.
Are we Thunder-heads? You betcha!
